St.Lucia Cocoa Tea aka Ditè Cocoa
St.Lucia is well known for its delicious cocoa beans. They are exported to various countries to produce chocolate like the well known Hershey's Chocolate and World's Finest Chocolate. Below is a recipe for St.Lucia Cocoa Tea aka Ditè Cocoa. Ingredients: 1/2 cups grated cocoa stick 2 sticks cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 bay leaves 8 cups milk Ground roast cashews 2 Tbsp flour Sugar to taste Method: Gently heat milk in pan on stove top Add grated cocoa stick into warm milk, add spices and cashew, stir gently and bring to low simmer for 5 minutes Mix flour with a small amount of cold water, stir in some of the hot cocoa mixture and return to the same pan Heat for another minute stirring well Strain through a fine strainer, add sugar to taste and serve hot I hope you enjoy this little taste of St.Lucia.
